WELCOME TO ELVIRE VOLK DESIGN — THOUGHTFUL HOME IMPROVEMENT
This policy is for visitors who read our pages, people who send an enquiry or quote request, households who join a newsletter, and anyone who asks to unsubscribe. It also describes, in general terms, how we treat information needed to design kitchens, bathrooms, interiors, carpentry, painting, and related improvements once a conversation has begun.
This website is built as a static, client-side experience. Forms validate in your browser and show a confirmation message. They do not currently transmit data to a studio server by themselves. If you later email us, or if a future version of the site is connected to a mailbox, the principles in this policy still describe how we intend to treat personal information.
Elvire Volk Design decides why and how personal information is used for studio operations: answering briefs, preparing proposals, delivering services, sending newsletters you asked for, and improving the usefulness of this website. We are not a data broker and we do not sell mailing lists.
Depending on the form you use, you may type:
Please do not include payment card numbers, government identity numbers, or sensitive health information in website forms. If a project requires access notes that are sensitive, we will agree a safer channel after first contact.
Photographs of rooms that you attach later by email may show household objects. We treat those images as part of your brief and do not publish them without permission.
Like most websites, pages may be requested through your browser. Hosting or analytics tools, if enabled by whoever publishes this domain, could receive technical data such as browser type, language, approximate region derived from network address, pages viewed, and referring site. This studio does not require you to create an account to read the site.
We may use essential cookies or local storage only if needed for a future preference such as a closed banner. The current static pages do not set marketing cookies of their own. Third-party fonts, icon libraries, or style frameworks loaded from public content networks may receive a request from your browser according to those providers’ own policies.
We use personal information to:
We rely on one or more of the following bases, as applicable in your jurisdiction: your consent (especially for newsletters), steps needed before a contract, performance of a contract for design or installation, our legitimate interest in operating a careful home improvement studio, and legal obligation.
The Subscribe Email page and footer newsletter fields are invitations to receive occasional writing about materials, room planning, and completed improvements. You should only subscribe with an email you control. You can stop messages at any time through the Unsubscribe Email page or by using a link in a future mailing if one is provided.
Unsubscribing stops marketing mail. It does not delete a project file if you are an active client; those records remain as needed to finish work, handle aftercare, or meet legal retention rules. If you want both marketing mail and a project file erased, say so clearly and we will explain what we can delete and what we must keep.
We do not sell personal information. We may share what is necessary with:
We will not post your name beside a project photograph if you have asked us not to. Social icons in the header and footer are for you to visit our public profiles; they do not automatically share your form entries.
Email and hosting providers may store or process information in more than one country. Where we use such providers, we look for contractual and technical measures that keep information protected in line with this policy and applicable law.
Enquiry messages that do not become projects are kept only as long as needed to complete the conversation and a short period afterwards in case you return to the same brief. Project files, drawings, and invoices are kept for the life of aftercare plus any period required for tax or dispute purposes. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe, plus a small suppression record. Unsubscribe requests are kept long enough to demonstrate that we honoured them.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a design studio: limited access to mailboxes, care with photographs of private homes, and instructions to trades not to circulate client images. No internet transmission is perfectly secure. Please use a unique email password and be cautious of messages that claim to be from us but ask for payments to an unexpected account. We will never ask you to pay through a website form on this static site.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to ask whether we hold information about you, to receive a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to certain uses, to withdraw consent for newsletters, and to complain to a supervisory authority. To make a request, email hello@elvirevolkdesign.com from the address you used, and describe the rooms or dates if you are a client so we can find the right records.
We may need to verify that the request comes from you. We may refuse requests that are unfounded, repetitive, or would prevent us from keeping records the law requires.
Our services and website are intended for adults commissioning home improvements. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted a form, contact us and we will delete the message.
When we photograph finished work, we avoid mail, screens, and personal papers. You may ask us to delay publication, to crop identifying views, or to withhold a project from the public site. Team portraits and project images on this website are used to explain our craft and are not dummy stock with watermarks.
Pages load styles and icons from public networks so the site can look consistent. Those networks may process technical requests. Please read their privacy notices if you want detail. We are not responsible for privacy practices of social platforms you visit through our icons.
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, hosting, or legal duties change. The date at the top will be revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page. Continued use of the website after an update means you have read the new version.
Privacy questions, access requests, and concerns can be sent to hello@elvirevolkdesign.com. Please write “Privacy” in the subject line. We aim to reply during studio hours, Monday to Friday.
If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may contact the data-protection authority that oversees the jurisdiction applicable to you or to the studio. We would still prefer the chance to put things right first.
Thank You! one of our representative will contact you
